Walter Burley Griffin architectural and landscape influences remain in Willoughby, Middle Cove and Castlecrag .
From Wilkes Ave, east side of Artarmon Station, we take the cycle path into Willoughby to view an extant Walter Burley Griffin and Eric Nicolls designed Incinerator, one of two remaining in NSW. Then cross Willoughby main roads to ride the back streets to hilly Middle Cove, and into Harold Reid Reserve, which includes a 50m rough track. The Reserve is one of the North Shore's finest areas of natural bushland; good views to be had over Middle Harbour. Ride to coffee. In Castlecrag, lots of stops to see Walter Burley Griffin design houses and landscaping. Depending on time, there are various routes back to Station.
