Two Wise Men follows River Road out to the Lower Portland Ferry and return then uses Singleton Road to do a similar out and back route. Ride leaders may choose to reduce the length by turning earlier on either leg.
Scenery includes sweeping views of the Hawkesbury River, bush and farmland.
The main hazards are ski boats being towed along River Road in the ski season and summer weekends. The road surface can be bumpy in places and care should be taken with regroups due to potential for falling rocks.
Bring a snack to have at the Lower Portland Ferry turn around point. Bring two bidons of water.
Coffee and toilets at Wisemans Ferry but otherwise, there are no facilities on the ride.
