Created as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations, this Advocacy Heritage ride takes in some of the major advocacy achievements of the past 30 years.
Carolyn New will join the riders at coffee to discuss how these wins were achieved.
The route recognises the advocacy achievements of: Browns Waterhole, Shrimptons Creek, the rail bridge over the Parra River at Meadowbank, Pittwater Road, Epping Road and Gore Hill Freeway shared paths and the Sydney Harbour Bridge Ramp.
The ride will include brief descriptions of the advocacy achievement as we pass each location.
The ride starts at Cameron Park Turramurra and heads down Kissing Point Rd, through to Macquarie Uni, along Shrimpton’s Creek and down to Meadowbank.
The ride then moves across the Parramatta River on the rail bridge and then back over the river on Ryde Rd bridge.
The route continues along the “Morrisons Rd route” to Gladesville where it crosses Victoria Rd to follow Pittwater Rd. Epping Rd and the Gore Hill Freeway paths lead to West St and eventually to the SHB Ramp and a ride across the bridge to finish in Argyle St.
With the ride now concluded, riders will make their own way. This might optionally include Wynyard for the train back to the Turramurra.
Suggested Cafe option is: Forsyth's, Naremburn.
