Bobbin For Apples is a ride from Epping Railway Station and Metro to the top of the western side of Bobbin Head. It provides bush views in Browns Waterhole, then again through Bobbin Head and Appletree Bay
Suitability: With 822m of climbing, this ride suits fit individuals who are capable of both climbing and fast descents. There is the potential for fast moving cars passing so experience in this area is essential.
Route: Commencing at Epping Station, East side, we descend to Vimera Road, which we then use to travel to Browns Waterhole.(Note: this crossing is subject to flooding after significant rain). We then start our climb up Kissing Point Road, including the last, steep pinch.
After a short section on the Pacific Highway, we return to quieter streets until we reach Bobbin Head Road. The ride takes us down the Eastern side of Bobbin Head, then up the Western side to the ticket booth. A quick turn around and then we tackle the Western descent. Both sides of Bobbin Head are usually done at “own pace”. A quick turn into the beautiful Appletree Bay for a snack, toilet stop and regroup before heading to North Turramurra.
Coffee option is North Turramurra.
After coffee we return to our starting point via Turramurra and Browns Waterhole.
