Bike North Training ride for Hilly Climbs
This great ride completes 6 long climbs . for arguably the best ride in northern Sydney.
We follow a clockwise loop through Hornsby, down and up Galston Gorge, breeze through Arcadia and descend to the ferry at Berowra Waters before climbing up to Cowan for a quick stop. We continue along the Old Pacific Highway down and across the Hawkesbury River, to Mt White hill and Reptile Park before coming back down then up to Pie in the Sky for a well-earned coffee and pie. The undulations back along the highway are likely to be more challenging than usual and ride will end at Berowra Station .
- The ride commences from the Public toilets along Peats Ferry Road, Hornsby, opposite Hornsby Shire Council
- The official Bike North ride ends at Berowra Train Station
- Defer to Sunday , 21st Dec if raining on Sat.
- There will be 2 food and water stops along the way. The first stop will be at Saddles or Old Road Cafe 72km into the ride and at PIES 103KM into the ride.

This is a hard ride and is only suitable for fit and experience riders. You will be experienced in riding fast downhill and then pacing yourself uphill. You will be comfortable riding in a tight group formation and experienced dealing with traffic on major roads. You will come self sufficient with two water bottles, several appropriate snacks, a minimum of two spare tubes and repair kit.

may be used by Bike North for social media or promotional purposes. If participants do not wish to be
included in social media, they should make it known at the beginning of the activity or as soon as possible
and other participants must respect their wishes.
