Register Now for Tour de Cowra 2025!

Yes! the Tour de Cowra rides are now all posted on the Bike North Calendar for dates 18 to 25 April. Take a look and register any time.

Navigation for the Tour de Cowra rides is straight forward. You will be riding in small groups but without a leader or sweep so you will need to have a map of the route. Paper maps will be available for all rides at the registration desk each morning for those who want one. Or, you can download the routes from RidewithGPS to your device, Strava, or Garmin.

All rides are on tar, there is no gravel riding.

Registrants are reminded to log in to the Bike North website to ensure your on-ride mobile and emergency contact details are up to date.

Mixing it up ... on two wheels

Walter Burley Griffin is a name synonymous with Canberra. But did you know that he was a resident of Castlecrag for nearly eight years? And not only a resident, but a land 'developer' and architectural visionary? His love of the local landscape influenced his iconic designs, melding homes into the rocky topography and shrouding with native flora.

These were just some of the fascinating facts that Bike North riders learned on Wendy Janning's Willoughby, Castlecrag , Middle Cove and Walter Burley Griffin ride on Saturday (find the route in Bike North's Ride with GPS library) . A local cultural history enthusiast, Wendy's passion provided the perfect basis for a Saturday morning meander.

Bike North's calendar is populated with all sorts of interesting rides - why not take a look and join us out there on two wheels!

Be a Bollard Buster!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a ride where we don't have to call out 'Bollard!' each time we cross a bridge or enter a pathway?

Naremburn update

The work on widening the narrow pathway from Naremburn to Brook St is still underway and still more to be done in the space … so the route remains closed and now anticipated to be completed by Friday 14 March. Hopefully they will have completed their cabling works by then, so less, if any, disruption to riding the path. Note this path will not extend beyond the meet up with Brook Street on-ramp. We await any information on further plans.
