Nominations have opened for a number of committees which advise the Lane Cove Council. These include the Bicycle Advisory Committee.

Team Shop Closing Date Extended!

Munda Biddi Trail Part 2 – The Ride

This is a follow-up article on my earlier post a few weeks ago, which covered planning and logistics for the 1000 km Munda Biddi (MB) dirt track ride from Perth to Albany.

Having now successfully completed the adventure in a comfortable 20 days, with only 1 puncture and 2 days of light showers, all I can say is WOW!

The trails, signage, overnight shelters, towns, bakeries, flowers, forests and people met along the way and flowers are all amazing. Having ridden a number of similar trails in other countries, this trail is absolutely world class, a view supported by many overseas riders we met on the trail. It is a shame we don’t have anything of this scale on the east coast.

Beautiful Nowra

Last weekend, we had four enjoyable days of riding in the Nowra area. We enjoyed one windy day and three nice days. It was great cycling over the new Shoalhaven Bridge on the new cycle way.

It is great to get away and explore new routes and experience new restaurants. Join us next year. Here are some photos of some of the crazy and enjoyable moments.

That's not a nail, that's a nail!!

You know it's not your day when you are sweep and eleven riders are in front of you, but you get this in your tyre!!!

This caused an early delay on Brian Lynne's Western Wander ride on recently. We thought Brian was optimistic with his 11:30am return to Meadowbank, and another puncture, this time to Ian Meller, soon put paid to that finish time!

Your Ride, Your Taste - from Gelato to Cake

Our Christmas Big Rides Day (BRD) ride choices are doubling every week. Check out the rides on the Calendar here for rides and Christmas lunch bookings on Sunday 1 December.

Lunch will be provided by the Club( and social committee). Not planning to ride? No problem . . . but you must register so that you don't miss out . Register your spot as Attending Social (not riding) and arrive for 11.30am.

All registrations will close 2 days before the ride!!!!

All rides will end at the lunch venue of Hill Pavilion Bicentennial Park where we can meet up with cycling friends to celebrate the year.

It will be a great day to dress in Christmas theme so start planning your outfit for you and your bike.

Christmas Big Rides Day - Sunday 1 December 2024 - book the day in your diary!
