Overview:
A 55km loop of the Northern Beaches taking in some of the best off road routes in Metro Sydney.
Route Description:
The ride begins at Sticky Bottle bike shop in Brookvale and heads south to Manly Dam, it then runs parallel to Wakehurst Parkway on a very technical trail up to Forest Way, it then descends down to Davidson where it joins the Cascades Trail, a steep firetrail with rocky creek crossings. The climb up on Bare Creek Trail is very steep and you may find yourself pushing your bike up this hill. Exiting the bushland onto Mona Vale Road puts you back on the tarmac and up to Terry Hills for the Café Stop at Berkelo Bakery. After refuelling you’ll head offroad down Duckholes and up the very steep Chiltern Trail to Ingleside Heights. It’s mostly downhill from here to the finish as you wind your through Elanora Heights, Narrabeen Lagoon, Cromer, Dee Why Beach and back to Brookvale for a well earned lunch.
Cafe: Berkelo Bakery, Corner of McCarrs Creek Road and Kanagra Avenue, Terrey Hills 2084
