The ride starts and finishes at the Meadowbank ferry wharf and proceeds clockwise around the bays and foreshores on the northern. side of the Parramatta River, over the Gladesville Bridge and then the Iron Cove Bay Run. Italian coffee stop at Leichardt, which is reached mid-way around Iron Cove, with a diversion up the Hawthorn Canal. After coffee, the ride will retrace the Hawthorn Canal and continue in a clockwise direction around Iron Cove before diverting to the bays and foreshores on the southern side of Parramatta River, then return to the start via the Concord Hospital/ Ryde bridge route.
Allow 3.5 - 4 hrs hours including ride briefing, regroups, coffee stop assuming a steady 18 km/h average moving pace.
The ride includes some hilly areas primarily in the first 9kms of the ride. While there are numerous shared paths, riders need to be comfortable cycling on some fairly busy roads. Route hazards include cyclists, pedestrians, dogs, and bollards particularly on the Iron Cove Bay Run. There are several toilets on the route. There are no designated options for riders wishing to leave the ride, however there is a Light Rail from Leichardt to the Sydney train network.

All riders must wear an approved helmet and carry water, at least one spare tube plus a pump.

While on Bike North rides and activities, you may be photographed or videoed. Photographs and videos
may be used by Bike North for social media or promotional purposes. If participants do not wish to be
included in social media, they should make it known at the beginning of the activity or as soon as possible
and other participants must respect their wishes.
