Starting ASAP after the train due from Sydney at 8:53.
From Tuggerah Station we head mainly on shared paths East to The Entrance, where we cross the bridge and head North mainly on shared paths, including the section opened on 16.12.24. We stop for brunch at Budgewoi, then take the shared path across the top of Lake Budgewoi. We then join quiet back roads through sleepy Lake Haven, Gorokan and Wyongah. From Tuggerawong to Rocky Point we enjoy another delightful, undulating lake-edge shared path, then back to the quiet-ish road through Tacoma, alongside the Wyong River which we follow into Wyong. The route then follows the Pacific Hwy 2km South to Tuggerah Station.
There are numerous rest areas along the route equipped with toilets and water.
You have to be self sufficient as there are no viable bail out points. It is recommended to have two spare tubes, some snacks and sufficient water.
