Come and shake off the winter blues with extension to Hawkesbuy River Bridge adding 7.6km to the ride. Don't worry as half of it is down hill and that's the fun part!!!! If you do not want to do the climb up Brooklyn , you have the option of an extended coffee break at Pie in the Sky.
This ride is Banana Pie minus the lung-busting climb out of Bobbin Head on the steep Mt Colah side. Starting at Turramurra station we will ride up through leafy Wahroonga to Hornsby (don't get too complacent as it has some steep pinches) and then take on the undulations of the Pacific Highway down to the Hawkesbury River. Bridge We then SLOWLY climb up Brooklyn to Pie in the Sky for a pie and a coffee with a view. The return leg takes in Bobbin Head East and the climb out the less steep N. Turramurra side. This is a good ride for people who want to step up a bit and challenge themselves with a ride that still includes 2 significant climbs with some pinches and short climbs along the way.
No drop ride at the top of 2 climbs. Brooklyn (3.8km,182m elevation, with average gradient of 4.7%) and Bobbin Head East (3.66km, 194m elevation, with average 3.9% gradient )
