Notice of Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Clause 30 of Bike North's Constitution of the Annual General Meeting to take place as follows:
12 noon, Sunday 18 August 2024
Wentworth Common
Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush, NSW
Business to be transacted at the meeting:
- Confirming the Minutes of the 2023 Annual General Meeting
- Receiving reports from the committee on Bike North’s activities during the previous financial year
- Receiving financial statements
- Announcement of 2024 Volunteer Award recipients
- Election of office bearers (President, Secretary, Treasurer) and five ordinary committee members
- Other Business
- Drawing winner of the Big Bike Film Night ticket draw
- vote of thanks
- any other business.
Pursuant to Clause 15 of Bike North's Constitution, any member may be nominated as a candidate for the election:
Nominations must be:
(a) made in writing, and
(b) signed by at least two members of the association, not including the candidate, and
(c) accompanied by the written consent of the candidate to the nomination, and
(d) given to the Returning Officer by 5.00pm on the day before the date fixed for the annual general meeting at which the election is to take place.
Please use the nomination form, completing all details and sending to the Returning Officer by 5pm Saturday 17 August 2024. If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies, a call for further nominations will be made at the meeting.
If any member has a matter they wish to raise at the meeting, please notify the Secretary by email to secretary@bikenorth.org.au.
All current Bike North Members are encouraged to attend this meeting, our only formal meeting held during the year.
